AI Regulation as a Tool to Accelerate Adoption in Medicine: Mr. Yosef Gedalyahu, Ministry of Innovation, Science and Technology – May 2025

Mr. Yosef Gedalyahu, Director of the Center for AI Policy at the Ministry of Innovation, Science and Technology, delivered a lecture on “AI Regulation as a Tool to Accelerate Adoption in Medicine.”

In his remarks, Mr. Gedalyahu highlighted the Center’s mission to promote the widespread and responsible adoption of AI in Israel. He stressed that Israel’s relative leadership in the field will diminish without a clear strategy and adequate infrastructure. He also referred to the national AI program and to regulatory policies that prioritize the implementation of technologies while managing risks in relevant sectors.

His lecture was delivered at the national conference of the Responsible AI in Medicine Initiative at Tel Aviv University, held in collaboration with the Ministry of Innovation, Science and Technology and the Steinhardt Museum of Natural History, on May 5, 2025.
