Vision of the Responsible AI in Medicine Initiative: Dr. Oren Asman – May 2025

Dr. Oren Asman, Attorney and PhD, Head of the Responsible AI in Medicine Initiative and Senior Faculty Member in the Department of Nursing Science at the Stanley Steyer Faculty of Medicine and Health, presented the vision that guided the establishment of the initiative in 2023 and the wide range of activities undertaken to realize it in the two years since its founding. These activities span both the local and international arenas, focusing on community building, raising awareness, supporting research, developing and conceptualizing the field theoretically and practically, and strengthening collaborations between academia, industry, government, and the healthcare system.

The lecture was delivered as part of the first national conference of the Responsible AI in Medicine Initiative at Tel Aviv University, held in collaboration with the Ministry of Innovation, Science and Technology and the Steinhardt Museum of Natural History, on May 5, 2025.
